absorb organic materials such as phenolic or chloro or bromohydrocarbons.
•Deals
with sporadic discharges of mineral oils.
•To
remove and destroy residual disinfectants (chlorine and chloramine)
MATERIALS
•Activated
charcoal
•2
beakers
•Food
colouring
•Water
•Spatula
PROCEDURE
•Fill
water into both beaker and label with beaker A and B.
•Put
a few drops of food colouring into both beaker.
•Add
about 2 spoon of activated charcoal into beaker A and stir until mixed.
•Cover
the beaker and let them about a day.
